Observations- Monday-Thursday- 1st-11th May 2023.
A busy first two weeks in May have shown that I only venture out when it’s not windy and when tights can still be worn for leg protection when going off road.
2nd May- The Hawthorn is out and very fluffy. The smell is overpowering and beautiful.
4th May- The Canada geese are back by the canal and they have lots of children. They spit and hiss and they do not want your crackers or peas.
6th May- An historical event happened. I didn’t watch it, instead taking myself to the garden centre peacefully. However the cashing in never stops, even in plant pot world.
9th May- Eurovision has taken over Liverpool and even I got caught up in it. I collected leaflets, stickers, took pictures of superstars with stars on their head and I got emotional in John Lewis at all the ladies dancing to Save Your Kisses For Me. I think I was just really tired.
I also saw Luke Jerram’s Floating Earth at the Albert Dock. I saw his previous installation Gaia in Liverpool Cathedral a few years back. I remember, as I had spilt tea down myself and felt quite insignificant as a giant earth spun above my head.
11th May- The Sparrowhawk is back and with this excitement brings incidents. I think she got disturbed half way through, so no dinners for her, and no more boyfriends for my little dove. Its partner sat in the tree looking at the horror unfold then cease until way past 10pm. I hope they find someone else pronto.
I put the remains out for the fox and she took it, so there was a small happy ending.
