Churches-St Michaels in the Hamlet-Liverpool. HOD 2024.

St Michaels in the Hamlet, or the Cast Iron church held an open day for the Heritage weekends. Both of my parents are familiar with the church due to growing up in the area and my dad was christened there.

The church is Grade I Listed and noted for the extensive use of cast iron in its construction and the external decoration. The stained glass is lovely especially the large east window.

I had a really nice time there and it is really impressive. The gentleman who was showing us around was also wonderful and let us shelter a bit as it decided to throw it down outside.

Also the church hosts concerts and Martin Carthy is going to be there in December. Go HERE to see more about St Michaels Live, HERE to read more about the church and HERE to visit the church website.
