Beaches- Ferry Road- Hayling Island- Hampshire.

A very windy and cold January 15 minute walk around the beach. Excellent scrubland and the Gorse is great at this time of year with is faint coconut scent. Lovely rusty signs and doors and views over to the Isle of Wight.

The front of the shore by the café is part of a Mulberry Harbour construction site. Further up is the remains of a caisson, but it was honestly far too cold, so a trip maybe in the Summer to see it.

I also swear I saw a Dartford Warbler. A flash of grey and copper quickly sped past as it sat on the golf club fence. It flew into the gorse behind and then was gone. I checked the times they can be seen around there and it was bang on in January. I swear down it was.

Go HERE to learn more about the area and HERE to follow a walk around the beach.
