After finally not missing the turning into the cemetery for the 17th time, I was finally here to See Alec Guinness, sorry, Sir Alec Guinness but to me, always George Smiley.

Buried alongside his wife Lady Merula, he sits in a nice spot, surrounded by chattering sparrows. There were some Lego Obi Wan Kenobi figures tucked behind the daffodils and I did hope for a Russian doll but it wasn’t to be.

Besides him being George Smiley amongst hundreds of other roles he is also my favourite in A Christmas Carol as Jacob Marley’s ghost and Professor Marcus in The Ladykillers.
