Infrastructure- House Remains.

Another one of those things, that’s always been there but you don’t really bother with. Wandering over from my walk to Aldi, as my Fitbit said I had sat too long, I noticed these gate posts. Either side are two trees that could be really old or not and were once part of the entrance. Considering I walked past this way most days from the ages of 13-16, I had never even noticed them.

If you go HERE you can see a map from the National Library of Scotland, that shows Roughdales Farm on the site. Could it be the entrance to that?

Well further digging ensued that the ever wonderful Sutton Beauty website has a picture of the house that used to be there! Go HERE to read and scroll down until you come to the McTeer family photograph. How exciting!
