Observations, a Cormorant on the canal.

Spring is still trying its best. The cherry tree my dad planted in the garden has the best blossom ever on it. I see how all the green is coming back on the hawthorn and I am looking forward to plunging my nose into them when they flower in May.

The canal doesn’t hold any excitement for me anymore. I would constantly trace the seasons through it and watch the wildflowers bloom. I am still feeding two geese that live at the top end. I worry for them as twice I have had to shout at passing kids to leave them alone. It gets tedious having to deal with such stupidity.

However today, a Cormorant was swimming up and down the canal. It came out of the water and then opened its wings up to dry them. Majestic. I watched for over ten minutes as it preened itself and got ready to go. I hope it managed to get some dinner as it had no desire for the remains of my cheese pasty.
