Walks, Hale Head to Ice House Plantation, Halton.

A nice Sunday walk through Hale Village, past the lighthouse and onto the open path back towards Hale park. It is a lovely walk with big views and big reeds. Isolation and quiet, except for the planes. Old oak trees stand by themselves watching the river and Curlews call from the shore. I have completed quite a bit of this Mersey walk now, I just need to get to the remains of Dungeon Quay and then I have mostly completed it.

I went back through the woods and you can see the Grade II listed Ice house which was a remnant from Hale Hall.

Go HERE to see a trail that shows where I walked roughly. HERE to see a previous walk to the lighthouse in 2022 and HERE to learn about the Dungeon Quay salt works.
