Botanical- Arley Hall & Gardens-Cheshire.
After getting completely lost on a very straightforward outing to look at a shopping centre, I arrived at Arley Hall, which was very welcome as I was now quite hungry.
I had heard of the gardens and the hall due to the passing of brown tourist signs for it but I had never followed them. Until today.
Being the beginning of May, everything had started to unfurl proper ready for summer and the grass was being cut. Lovely.
I liked The Chapel very much and The Vinery but it was closed for maintenance as was the house as there was filming going on. The estate is used a lot for filming and If you go HERE you can see the wedding of the year being disrupted back in 2004. I have stood where they are!
It is a really lovely place and I shall go back again when I have more time. There’s loads of different gardens to explore and some excellent Lupins.
Go HERE to read more about the hall and estate and HERE to see the hall being blown up in Peaky Blinders.
