Observations-Snow-Hoar Frost-6-13th January.

Watching the snow clouds arrive when dropping a parcel off, the air suddenly became warm. The car thermometer said 2 degrees.

The greenhouse one said minus 3. I decided I wouldn’t hold my breath for it.

By morning it had arrived, a lovely medium frosting and biting cold. It was lovely, crispy and a nice few days of sun.

Then the hoar frost came, absolutely wonderful it was as well. Really, really cold with beautiful shards of ice floating off from the tree branches.

The low winter sun, making everything golden as opposed to the cold blue light when out of it.

The ice froze over night and minus 6 was recorded. I ventured to the canal at dinner, and it was frozen solid. The Canada Geese surrounded me and I obliged by running/slipping to the pet shop for seeds and worms. I should really have a bag of peas on me at all times but they seemed happy with their big dinner. Incredibly well behaved at the dinner table also, with very little hissing.
