Edgelands- Hook with Warsash Local Nature Reserve-Hampshire.

Winter and January especially can be a funny time. It’s not yet far enough on to see any signs of spring but it does get lighter after 5pm. After a gentile walk around, I found this to be complete nonsense, as January has loads of stuff going on. Except for the 5pm light.

I saw lots of Catkins and the female magenta flowers sitting above them. Clumps of Mistletoe in the trees and a Kingfisher.

There is a bright pink ferry shelter and I got a nostril full of coconut from the Gorse. So January is the best.

Go HERE to see the walk and the area and HERE to see a bird spotting guide.
