Roman- Bignor Roman Villa- West Sussex

Bignor Roman Villa is deep in the West Sussex countryside. A few minor scrapes up the country roads and you arrive to sea of sheep.

This was the last day of the season so good timing. There was also a pumpkin picking place but I had the wrong shoes on and seeing the mosaics was more important.

It is really exciting inside and the mosaics are beautiful, the collection of finds is huge and all combined with an earthy autumn smell. I very much liked the Hypocaust and the mosaic of Medusa which sits outside in her own little house, as she should have,
