Bronze Age, Devils Humps Burial Mounds, Stoughton, West Sussex.
Visited August 2025.
Following on the mighty walk through Kingley Vale and the giant hill climb, you come to the Devils Humps Burial mounds.
‘The Devil’s Humps, also known as the Kings’ Graves are four Bronze Age burial mounds. Arranged slightly apart in pairs, two are bell barrows and two are bowl barrows. In the mid 19th century, excavations revealed various artefacts which included pottery and burnt bones’ SOURCE edited.
The views are even more spectacular and although it was busy with walkers, it was also quite whispery up there.
