Grief Observations- A Nature Diary.

Saw a Heron fly past Tesco. I love them. Fed the geese by the canal. They were really hungry, so on Monday I will make sure I take lots of seeds for them and breads.

No storm damage here, but the canal had a very thin sheet of ice on top. The town Christmas lights are still up on the lamp posts and the Starlings sit near them chattering.

Driving home I saw a pink Camellia in full flower. I’ve always wanted a pink Camellia. The bulbs are coming up in the front garden. I think they are Crocus, but the top of the Hyacinth can also be seen. I need to get my markers out to make notes of what is what.
