Parks, Sefton Park, Liverpool, August.

I hadn’t visited the park since dad died. The last time I was there, we took the wrong route out and had a big walk across the field. It was the Autumn equinox as well and I was captivated by the Parakeets flying past. We watched the Cormorants on the lake and had a cup of tea. Both mum and dad were there and we all walked very slowly around the lake.

The Cormorants were in their same positions and I stood and watched them dry their wings. The Parakeets flew over shouting and the season was starting to turn.
